‘Labyrinth of Lies’ – Exhibition

I had the honor to document the exhibition ‘Labyrinth of Lies’ featuring the artist Sven Sauer and The Connor Brothers, that took place in an old abandoned brewery in Berlin last weekend.

Labyrinth of Lies

For the online creative magazine WITNESS THIS, I took part in the first testing for the upcoming exhibition LABYRINTH OF LIES by Berlin artist Sven Sauer in collaboration with THE CONNOR BROTHERS end of May 2017 at Willner Brauerei in Berlin.

‘The installation explores the subconscious transformation of imagery from media into our collective and individual truths. The Labyrinth of Lies is an illuminated maze of umbrellas, referencing the so-called umbrella revolution—a non-violent protest for democracy that occurred throughout Asia in 2014 in which the protestants used umbrellas to shield themselves from police’s tear gas.’

‘WITNESS THIS’ LOVES TEA!

T.Sessions are a very sensual experience.
Prepare to have your taste buds blown when you concentrate on the nuances in the flavour of different sorts of tea from all over the world.

“Amidst the noise you will find deep within you a sanctuary, unmoved and unabated. Let a cup of tea take you there to find your Zen.”

Yasu – Animation Producer, Tokyo

A few years back, when I was traveling during the wintertime, I rented out my Berlin apartment to Alison, a DJ from New York. Last summer, before I flew to Japan, she connected me with Yasu, an old friend of hers, who lived in Tokyo.

He and Alison met, when Yasu was studying music business in New York back in 2000 , while working as an intern at a record label called ‚Turntable Lab’.

On his return to Tokyo after finishing his studies in 2004, he opened up his own record label and store called ‚Moonwalk Records‘ as well as a Tokyo branch of ‚Turntable Lab‘.
But the music business in Japan was not going as well as expected, so Yasu switched to advertising. He worked for clients like Audi, doing brand promotions including parties and popup stores, where he could combine his love for music with the job.

A friend of Yasu started an animation company and asked him to join as a producer.
For animation you need a story, graphic design and music. Working as a producer, has enabled Yasu to integrate his many previous life experiences.
