Permaculture aims to emphasise sustainability, balance and fairness and empower people to participate in the necessary change to preserve our world, both in their immediate environment and beyond. Special attention is paid to local and regional autonomy in order not to be ‘dependent on the outside’ in the age of energy transition. I visited the Berlin garden project ‘PEACE OF LAND’, where permaculture is actively practised and lived, and documented it photographically. The series is a free project of mine and was subsequently published in the Zitty summer special.
