A visit to the Elbchaussee site of the renowned architecture firm gmp Architekten von Gerkan, Marg und Partner in Hamburg. Volkwin Marg and the gmp partners manage the fortunes of what is probably Germany’s best-known architecture firm from their headquarters on Hamburg’s Elbchaussee. The challenge for gmp lies in the constant dialogue between the offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Aachen, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hanoi about the content and direction of the design, explains Volkwin Marg.
